Movie Guild Meetup #13: Iron Man

Hey everyone, so as you know we are planning on watching Iron Man this Saturday. The plan is not set in stone until we hear back from Mat (who is going to talk to Michael about the brake’s thing Richie is involved in this Saturday).
Tentavily we will be watching Iron Man at 1:50pm at Cinemark Mesa 16
DLP showtimes: 1:50
Other Showtimes: 11:30am, 1:05
Why 1:50? Because DLP is sexy. If it doesn’t work we can go to any of those other times listed.
UPDATE: Alright everyone, meet up at my house at 12:00pm Saturday! Be there or I’ll slit your babies throat! (as for those of you who don’t have babies, i’ll wait until you do, then slit their throats!)
Update: Yeay everyone showed up, i dont have to kill any babies (i was not looking forward to that).

I’ve asked my projection buddies on another forum if they have seen both formats. I’ll let you guys know what they prefer.

based on the one or two movies i’ve seen in a DLP theater. My opinion is that the projectors themselves are awesome, the screen the image is projected on usually shows issues. Once they upgrade those then I think it’ll really be a better experience.

So far my buddies are saying the DLP is better than the 35mm film print that is showing.
